McRuer CPAs reminds business owners that October 1st is the deadline to distribute employee notices about the availability of the Health Insurance Marketplace. This is part of the new health care law set to take effect in 2014.
Any employer that has as few as one employee must provide a notice of coverage options and information to each employee, whether that employee is part-time or full-time. This applies to all businesses whether they do or do not currently offer employee health benefits.
